Get ready to get on the bow of Capt. Jacob Vanleer’s 18ft Ancona shadow cast as we stalk through the miles of turtle grass, sand, and mud flats. Or sneak through back water creeks and lakes surrounded in mangroves and saw grass.
What to expect from your day fishing with Capt. Jacob
While everyday on the water changes heres what you can expect
We will start the day at the boat launch with a quick safety briefing, skiff orientation and go over the game plan for the day.
Then off to the first spot. Most runs are 10-15 minutes with 30minutes being a long run.
The main species we will see are red fish and black drum, but be ready to cast at any game fish you see.
When we are fishing we will either be poling, drifting or a combination of the two. We are fishing shallow clear water to fish we can see. stealth is everything.
One angler fishes at a time during two person trips. This is a technical fishery that requires close coordination between the guide and angler. The anglers are free to trade off as they wish
